Albon (sulfadimethoxine) for dogs and puppies, this pet medicine is used for treating bacterial infections in both cats and dogs. It is antibiotic and is helpful in treating coccidiosis infections due to single-celled, spore-forming and microscopic parasite which affects the intestinal tract of the pet. Sulfonamide interrupts the bacteria reproduction process and thus is very effective in its treatment. Albon comes in tablets and in liquid.
Veterinarian prescription is a must before you give your pet the dose. Pets allergic to sulfa dose should not be given this medicine as it may lead to serious trouble. Make sure your pet takes lot of water after the dose.
