Advantage Multi for dogs and cats is an effective pet medicine, which kills a fleas and treats infections. It is a topical monthly application and is a combination of parasiticide (moxidectin) and insecticide (imidacloprid). It is well known for prevention of heartworm and controls many different flea infection, whipworms, hookworms and roundworms in dogs, whereas, in cats it is known for preventing heartworms and treating fleas infection, hookworms, ear mites and roundworms. It works quite effectively. Its active ingredient namely moxidectin disrupt the nerve transmission which results in parasite’s paralysis and death. And the other ingredient imidacloprid attacks fleas and results in its paralysis and death.

Advantage Multi Side Effects

It should not be taken without the prescription of any veterinarian. Pets which are allergic to its ingredients must not be given the dose as it may lead to some serious side-effects. There can be few side-effects though they may be due to individual sensitivities of the pet. Some of the reported side-effects are:
